Who Am I?

Daughter of Smoke & Bone By Laini Taylor
Karou, the main character works for this half human half animal named Brimstone. Karou isn't a normal child and her friends start to notice that, but its not only her friends getting suspicious but when Karou storms into Brimstone's office with slash marks about to black out, the two Chimeras Issa and Yasri try to help her and one of them named Yasri said, "You don't think...? They couldn't know about her." That is when Karou started worrying that they are not telling her some thing, some thing important.
I think that Karou is worried about who she really is because Brimstone never actually told her who she is, where she was born, who her parents are if she has any. I also think Brimstone and Issa and Yasri are worried about telling her, but why would they not tell her, is it going to make her change her mind about Brimstone? Probably not though because he has taken care of her ever since she can remember. Then again Brimstone and everyone were really worried when Karou didn't come to the shop for a long time and Brimstone said that he thought she was gonna leave them forever and then Karou asked why he cared and he brushed it off. That makes me go towards Karou's thoughts of who she is and why no one will tell her. Her friends are getting worried and always asking her where she is from and she cant answer and she has blue hair and weird things happen with her when Karou makes wishes that her friends don't know about.
From her friends point of view i would be suspicious too. I would also be mad if my best friend that's close to me didn't tell me things about her and i would try to find out for my self. But if her friends do get mad it would be wrong because Karou doesn't know but its also her fault for not telling her friends the truth either. Her friends are also suspicious of why Karou is always gone and comes back injured or with new exotic things or anything else and Karou is obviously hiding things from them but for good reason i can see why she does because if she did tell her friends wouldn't want to be around her.
Lastly I am suspicious of who she is and why Brimstone wont tell Karou who she is. It couldn't be that much of a change can it?  But the truth hurts and maybe it will hurt everyone. All we can do is wait...

To tell? Or not to tell? That, is the question

Im reading a book called "Numbers" by Rachel Ward. Jem and her friend Spider run away to find a new life. Spider still has Tatto Face's money (Tatto Face was a guy that assigned spider to do a job for him) Tatoo face finds Spider and Jem running away and took the money back but Spider fights Tatto face and then Jem and Spider run away. Spider wants to know when he will die and then Spider ends up in jail. Now Jem wants to free hom but doesn't know how. While She is thinking about saving Spider she knows his death date and Spiders mom put all trust into Jem to keep Spider safe.
A lot of stress is being put on Jem to do so much work over so little time, Jem has a lot on her plate, she wants to not only break Spider out of jail but figure out a way to keep him alive for the sake of Spiders mother. I also think that Spider has a lot to think about to, how to keep Jem safe and also making sure he doesn't find out his death date so he doesn't worry too much because it could be traumatizing to know what your death date is. I can relate to both characters in the way of having a lot on your mind and a lot to worry about, especially in school where you need to think about so much and you have so many priorities to accomplish or else there is a bad consequence that you don't want to face. I can completely relate to that and I bet any 8th grader that has high school and school work to think about it can be a lot on your plate. But Jem and Spider are in a deeper problem, this is life and death they are gambling with, Spider and Jem took the chance of possibly being hunted down and killed just to find a better life.
I think Spider did a good and bad thing. One way he did a good thing was how he wanted to give Jem a better life, something exciting that will change her forever, all he wanted was a better life. Spider did not think this out, he was blinded by the amazing future he dreamed of having with Jem. Spider didn't think about how he has two thousand dollars of Tattoo Face's money that wasn't supposed to be used for personal use, he forgot about when the Ferris wheel fell and he and Jem were caught running away and that the police are looking for them. Spider did try his best to do what he really wanted, this shows that Spider will do anything to get what he wants. Jem on the other hand came along knowing that Spider was going to die at some point and she is in responsibility by his mother that  put Spider in her hands. Jem is really trying to keep Spiders mind off his death date which is approaching soon. I really wonder if Jem is going to tell spider or not, is she going to break down in pressure and tell him? that's what i expect.
We wont know until next time...

Numbers by Rachel Ward

Im reading a book called Numbers by Rachel Ward. This book is about a girl that can see peoples death dates when she looks in her eyes. And the main character whos name is Jem has another friend named spider. Spider is an outgoing active student who has silly tactics and ways of doing things. Jem is a girl that can see peoples death dates.
I find it really creepy that Jem can see other peoples death dates. I remember in the book Jem sees her moms death date and came home to find her dead on that same date. Jem doesnt want to look into other peoples eyes mostly the people she knows this is because she doesnt want to know when they will die and she cant stop it. This book reminds me of the movie Final Destination where the main character could see how and where people will die.
I honestly completely agree for Jem to not look in peoples eyes. I think this because it could cause her a lot of trauma or fear of even seeing anything. I wonder if Jem will hide her self from the world or if she will run away. I wonder if she will see spiders death date, but if she does what would happen? Would she try to help? Or not help?

The Reformed Vampire Support Group: Entry 1

In this book The Reformed Vampire Support Group by Catherine Jinks the character Nina must live with the fact she is a vampire but she wont do that she keeps making her self think that she is a normal person. For example when she is around all her other vampire friends she constantly says that she is just a normal person and the rest of them are freaks. And when ever they talk about something important like when Casimir died she said she would never be like any of them or fang anyone. When Nina and Father Ramon and Dave go to a dog fight and smells the dogs blood she almost fanged someone. After that Nina compared herself to Casimir as a vampire.
I think that Nina is being stupid for not accepting the fact that she is a vampire. I don't see why she knows its true but after so long still doesn't accept that. Actually I can see why Nina thinks she inst a vampire i think it is because she is still in shock and isn't used to everything that has happened so far. More and more Nina is accepting that she is a vampire though, so her problem is getting resolved. I wonder how Nina will finally accept her vampireness.
I can relate to Nina in this situation in the fact that i don't accept how i quit a lot of things. I remember in 5th grade i played the saxophone and i was really bad at it so i quit. And i had a period of time where i quit skating but i went back. I also relate to Nina how i now do accept that i quit things and can go back to my normal life. I think that if you don't accept the truth it will drown you and you will keep saying that and putting wrong ideas into your head.
